- Performance & Dance Technique (ages 8-13):
Dancers work on their flexibility, strength, posture and stamina using basic tumble, hip hop, classic ballet and jazz technique. This class participates in local performances (Festivals, Parades, Downtown Market, etc). Seasonal costume purchases are necessary. Class is currently held Mondays at 4pm at Wayne County Public Library.
KIDS CLASS DRESS REQUIREMENTS
(Girls) any color leotard with spandex shorts or leggings worn over leotard. Hair must be in a bun or a clean, high ponytail/braid. (Boys) sweats or stretch pants and a plain t-shirt with no logos. (All) No special shoes are required for this class. Please bring water.
- Somatic Flow (All Ages):
This is a beginner nature-based, creative movement class focused on building strength and muscle tone using basic yoga poses, somatic movement and repetitive stretches as well as improvisation to aid in meditation and grounding.
- Burlesque (ages 18+):
A beginner-friendly **ADULT ONLY** feminine empowerment class that incorporates the grace of classic burlesque into a journey of confidence & self-discovery.
About MBS:
Nicki is the heart and creative director behind MoonBeams Studio in Monticello, KY.
She is a passionate freelance dance teacher, gym instructor, and choreographer, specializing in Ballet, Jazz, and Musical Theater. Nicki’s dance journey began at Cameron Dancenter in Gainesville, FL, while she pursued Theater studies at Santa Fe College. In 2016, she embraced roles as Performing Arts Preschool Assistant Teacher and Studio Manager at Momentum Dance Arts before moving to Kentucky in 2022 with her husband, Dakota, and their daughter, Nova.
MoonBeams Studio is dedicated to nurturing young pre-professional performers, providing a supportive space to master the fundamentals of dance and theater. Joining MBS classes will inspire and prepare your dancer to shine in their Performing Arts journey.
